I was in the same boat as you and then I saw a bunch of tickets on Ebay! You need to be careful though! Your best bet would be checking your local classifieds. That is where I ended up buying mine to both Sea World and Disneyland and we saved a ton of money!!
costco, gosandiego pass, etc. look it up online
While staying in local hotels, I've seen an ad for buying a ticket that includes 3 attractions Zoo (or Wild Animal Park),

Disneyland and Sea World. It's cheaper but still about $240 for all three. Check it out on the Zoo website. Should be there.

Legoland is definitely for the little kids in the group.
